About NBAREA
The New Brunswick Association of Real Estate Appraisers (NBAREA) was founded by the New Brunswick Association of Real Estate Appraisers Act, 1994, (the Act) and became a regulatory body on January , 1995.
NBAREA’s mandate under the Act is to regulate real estate appraisers in the province of New Brunswick in the interest of the public and public protection.
We set and enforce standards for qualifications, registration, continuing competence, conduct and ethics of real estate appraisers in NB. We assist people in New Brunswick to access the services of real estate appraisers and handle their questions and concerns.
Anyone wishing to practice the profession in the province or use the title of Real Estate Appraiser must be a member of NBAREA. This is to ensure that the public receives the best possible services by a competent real estate appraiser.
There are roughly 160 members registered to practice as a real estate appraiser in New Brunswick.
